Hall makes a musical journey from Charleston to BC

Film fest sees best year yet

The 14th annual Dam Short Film Festival, which ended four days of film screenings and film-related activities Sunday, was the largest to date for ticket sales, attendees and film submissions, according to festival organizers.

1 ROYAL LIFE: Get an inside glimpse into the life of a queen when Boulder City Library shows “Victoria and Abdul” at 5:30 p.m. Friday. Weekend’s Best Bets for Feb. 8-11

1 MULTIPLE MOVIES: Four days of short films and special events highlight the 14th annual Dam Short Film Festival. Films in categories such as drama, comedy, romance, sci-fi and animation will be featured. New this year is a program featuring music videos. Screenings begin at noon each day, today through Sunday, with program blocks lasting about one hour. There also will be an opportunity to meet filmmakers and other festivalgoers.
