1 WINE NOT?: After a summer hiatus, the Best Dam Wine Walk returns to downtown from 4-8 p.m. Saturday. “Masquerade” is the theme of this month’s event; mask judging will take place by Boulder Dam Brewing Co. in Hotel Plaza. 1 TIME TRAVEL: Take a walk through the past while learning about the people and events that shaped Boulder City on a visit to the Boulder City-Hoover Dam Museum. Filled with exhibits and interactive displays, the museum focuses on the early days of Boulder City and the construction of Hoover Dam. It is housed inside the Boulder Dam Hotel, 1305 Arizona St. The museum is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free.
1 CELEBRATION: Lake Mead National Recreation Area will help celebrate the National Park Service’s 102nd birthday Saturday. Rangers will be at the Alan Bible Visitor Center, 10 Lakeshore Road, to answer questions about the park or others in the National Park Service system. The celebration kicks into high gear at 12:30 p.m., when birthday cake will be served.

Fulfilling their dreams of becoming collegiate athletes, three Boulder City High seniors, Logan Borg, Cameron Matthews and Preston Van Beveren will be heading off to their respective universities next fall.
This past Friday, LVMPD Sheriff Kevin McMahill, along with the FBI Special Agent in Charge Christopher Delzotto of the Las Vegas Field Office and Timothy Shea, Chief of the Boulder City Police Department, provided details regarding a vehicle ramming a power facility outside of Boulder City.
Boulder City High School girls basketball may have fallen to eventual state champion Churchill County in the state tournament, 56-17, on Feb. 20, but coach Brian Bradshaw’s Eagles took more away from the experience than just a loss.
It’s definitely not a request the city receives every day.
