The scoreboard may have reflected a dreaded 44-8 loss to rival Moapa Valley on Oct. 3, but the optimism surrounding the Boulder City High School football team is much brighter heading into this week.

Finishing the regular season with an undefeated record, Boulder City High School girls golf finished strong at Casablanca on Sept. 30.
Competing at the Silver State Senior Games swim meet at Pavilion Pool in Las Vegas October 4-5, four members of Boulder City’s Masters swim team SONAR dominated the field.
Competing at the CSN Invitational at Floyd Lamb Park on Oct. 3, Aiden MacPherson and Caleb Wolfe finished fourth and fifth respectively out of 121 runners.
Clinching regular-season league titles, both Boulder City High School programs defeated Adelson on Sept. 30.
Concluding the regular season undefeated with a 17-0 record, the Southern Nevada Eagles 16U are ready to capture a state title in the Nevada Connie Mack summer baseball league.
Present and past Lady Eagles from Boulder City High School’s girls swim program participated in the Los Angeles Invite July 12-15, finding success against the nation’s top swimmers.

Paul Dosch, Boulder City High School’s girls varsity basketball coach, died Saturday, July 7, at the age of 46 after a hard fought battle with lung cancer.
Carrying a 3-3 tie into the bottom of the eighth inning, slugger Caleb Brown hit a game-winning RBI single to center field to lead the Southern Nevada Eagles 14U past 4A Foothill affiliate Southern Nevada Falcons 4-3 at Whalen Field on July 6 in the Connie Mack summer baseball league.
Boulder City Little League Junior All-Stars won their first two games of the Division II district tournament, placing them in the championship game tonight, July 12.
Alexis “Lexi” Lagan of Boulder City claimed gold and silver medals at the 2018 USA Shooting National Championships June 10-17 in Fort Benning, Georgia.
Breaking out the big bats, the Southern Nevada Eagles 14U team in the Connie Mack summer baseball league scored double-digits runs in its three wins this week, two against Pahrump Valley affiliate Trojans Maroon and one against Palo Verde affiliate Southern Nevada Panthers Silver, to finish the week 3-1.

Eagle-eyed followers of city government may have noticed multiple references by city officials over the past year to expect shortfalls in the Boulder City budget over the next few years. It is a fact of life for city staff, and the big decrease in tourism to the region is poised to make the situation even more dire.
