Currently on a four-game winning streak, Boulder City High School girls basketball has advanced to 4-2 on the season.
Looking to make an extended postseason run, both Boulder City High School bowling programs come into the season high with expectations within the 3A classification.

Former Boulder City High School swimmer Zane Grothe won two events at USA Swimming’s 2013 U.S. Open on July 30-Aug. 3 at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif. Grothe, who will be a senior at Auburn University this fall, won the 1,500-meter freestyle with a time of 15 minutes, 13.39 seconds, and the 800-meter freestyle in 7 minutes, 56.15 seconds. He was fifth in the 400 freestyle
(3:54.68).

Monday is the first day of fall practice for Boulder City’s football team. In the ensuing seven days, the Eagles’ eight other fall athletic teams will begin official practices for their seasons.
Capitol Reef National Park, in south-central Utah’s red rock country, is a special jewel in our national park system.
