Capitalizing on great individual efforts, 10 Boulder City High School male athletes were named to the Nevadapreps All-Southern Nevada team, which features the top players in the region regardless of classification.
Five Boulder City High School female athletes were recognized for their impressive efforts and in the process were named to the Nevadapreps All-Southern Nevada team, highlighting the top players in the region regardless of classification.
Excelling as a three-sport athlete, Boulder City High School junior Sancha Jenas-Keogh has been named Boulder City Review girls athlete of the year.
As a result of excelling as a three-sport athlete, Boulder City High School senior Sam Bonar has been named Boulder City Review boys athlete of the year.
Boulder City High School tennis will send nine players to the 3A Individual state tournament starting today at Tahoe Donner Tennis Center.

Splitting this past week’s slate with a 1-1 record, Boulder City High School girls soccer fell to rival Virgin Valley, while rebounding against Sloan Canyon.
Cruising into postseason play, both Boulder City High School tennis programs dominated in their quarterfinal matchups. Setting the tone early in 3A play, the boys defeated Cimarron-Memorial 11-1 on Oct. 7.
On a four-game losing streak, Boulder City High School football fell to rival Virgin Valley 48-7 on Oct. 5.
Advancing to 9-1-1 on the season, Boulder City High School girls soccer picked up an 8-0 victory over Chaparral on Sept. 25, while tying with the always-tough Pahrump Valley 2-2 on Sept. 27.
Remaining undefeated on the season, Boulder City High School boys tennis picked up three league victories this past week.
It was brought up during Saturday’s unveiling of the Shane Patton Memorial Monument as to why Shane’s statue stands 11 feet tall.

Long before I was mayor of Boulder City, before I was a state legislator, I started a long, rewarding career as a physician. Two of the hardest things about being a doctor is, 1) telling someone that their loved one has died, and 2) sharing news about critical, potentially-fatal conditions.
