Boulder City High School girls basketball may have fallen to eventual state champion Churchill County in the state tournament, 56-17, on Feb. 20, but coach Brian Bradshaw’s Eagles took more away from the experience than just a loss.

Showing capabilities of being one of the top softball teams in the 3A classification, Boulder City High School swept through two classified and one independent opponent 48-1 this week, advancing to 9-10 on the season.
Playing like rock stars, Boulder City High School’s baseball team routed its opponents 34-0 in this week’s three-game slate, advancing to 13-2 on the season.

Zion National Park is a spectacular destination year-round, but spring is one of the best times to visit. Wildflowers are blooming in the lowlands, deciduous trees are starting to leaf out and the birds are singing their hearts out. While it’s a treat just to be there, you can make the trip educational as well, by signing up for a workshop or class with the Zion Canyon Field Institute. The institute offers workshops all year, but in spring the schedule is particularly rich. Be sure to make a reservation, as classes fill up fast.
Boulder City High School’s baseball team is playing at a high level to start the season, returning home from Utah with a 4-0 record after a stellar performance in the Southern Utah Spring Kick Off Tournament held March 15-16.
Routing Mojave 18-4 on the road Tuesday, March 19, Boulder City High School’s softball team has won three straight games against Nevada 3A opponents after a heartbreaking loss to Pahrump Valley on March 11.
Performing up to high expectations coming into the season, both Boulder City High School swim programs routed Sunrise Mountain in the season-opening meet Saturday, March 16, at Heritage Park.
Nominations for the Golden Eagle Hall of Fame’s 10th class are being sought by the athletic department at Boulder City High School.

This past Friday, LVMPD Sheriff Kevin McMahill, along with the FBI Special Agent in Charge Christopher Delzotto of the Las Vegas Field Office and Timothy Shea, Chief of the Boulder City Police Department, provided details regarding a vehicle ramming a power facility outside of Boulder City.
