Capitalizing on great individual efforts, 10 Boulder City High School male athletes were named to the Nevadapreps All-Southern Nevada team, which features the top players in the region regardless of classification.
Five Boulder City High School female athletes were recognized for their impressive efforts and in the process were named to the Nevadapreps All-Southern Nevada team, highlighting the top players in the region regardless of classification.
Excelling as a three-sport athlete, Boulder City High School junior Sancha Jenas-Keogh has been named Boulder City Review girls athlete of the year.
As a result of excelling as a three-sport athlete, Boulder City High School senior Sam Bonar has been named Boulder City Review boys athlete of the year.
Boulder City Elks Lodge, No. 1682, recently held a Soccer Shoot for children 5-11.
Boulder City can earn a return trip to the Division I-A girls volleyball state tournament today with a victory against Sierra Vista at Sunrise Mountain.
The Boulder City girls’ cross-country team not only finished the regular season undefeated, but it also won the Southern Region championship Oct. 30 and advanced all seven runners to the state finals this Saturday.

The Boulder City girls volleyball team has clinched its 18th consecutive playoff berth.
A late touchdown run and a 2-point conversion by quarterback Trenton Carmell helped the Boulder City football team reach its goal of returning to the Southern Region playoffs despite losing its season finale Friday to Virgin Valley, 27-21.
The Boulder City boys and girls cross-country team prepped for today’s Southern Region Championship meet by turning in several personal best efforts in Saturday’s Divisionals Meet at Foothill.
Longtime Southern Nevadans who love the Mojave Desert nevertheless often develop a yen to explore other arid landscapes. Typically they dream of the Sonoran Desert, whose scenery may have inspired them to live in the Southwest.
Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School select an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honoree is senior Trenton Carmell, who plays quarterback and defensive back for the Eagles. During Friday’s 27-21 loss to Virgin Valley, Carmell made a key play, stretching the ball into the end zone to make a touchdown in the game’s final minutes and advancing the team to the Southern Region playoffs. He also was instrumental in the team’s 49-48 win against Sunrise Mountain earlier this month.
