Laura Hubel/Boulder City Review

Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School nominate an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honoree is junior Charlene “Charlie” Masterson, who pitches and plays second base for the Lady Eagles softball team. She leads the team with a .515 batting average, leads in RBIs with 53 and has struck out 267 batters for the season, 30 of those in four playoff games during the regional tournament. Her coach calls her a great leader and touted her positivity and support of teammates. She is the daughter of Leo and Charlene Masterson.
