Picking up a huge homecoming victory, Boulder City High School football defeated 4A Sierra Vista 24-19 on Sept. 18.
Sweeping their way through league play, Boulder City High School girls golf won their fifth league match of the season at Sienna on Sept. 16.
Continuing to roll this season, both Boulder City High School tennis programs routed rival Virgin Valley in a victory on Sept. 16.

Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, is on everybody’s list of must-see places in the Southwest, but during summer, dealing with the crowds and traffic can be frustrating at best. However, if you have some flexibility in your schedule, there’s a remedy for that problem. Check out the park’s popular main area, with its natural amphitheaters filled with striking hoodoo formations, first thing in the morning, before most visitors arrive. Then set out to other areas of Bryce for hiking.

The future of Boulder City High School’s baseball program looks bright, especially after the Eagles’ Connie Mack 14U affiliate completed an undefeated regular season.
Flagstaff, Arizona, is not only a good destination to escape the hotter weather of Southern Nevada, but also serves as the perfect base camp for a few one-day side trips to the state’s greatest sights. Within an hour or two from town, you can be at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, sliding down a natural water chute near Sedona, or visiting any of three nearby national monuments.
Zane Grothe, a 2010 graduate of Boulder City High School, will represent Team USA at the world championships in Budapest, Hungary, next month after winning the 400-meter freestyle at the 2017 Phillips 66 National Championships on Friday in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Alexis Lagan of Boulder City claimed her first gold medal at the USA Shooting National Championships in Fort Benning, Georgia in the women’s sport pistol competition.
Hoping to secure Boulder City High School’s first individual wrestling state championship since 2013, several Eagles traveled to Encinitas, California, recently for the La Costa Camp to hone their skills for the upcoming season.
