Collin Fox started wrestling in the seventh grade. He immediately fell in love. Now, Fox is graduating from Boulder City High School, looking ahead to a bright future wrestling at Concordia University in Nebraska.
Boulder City High School’s volleyball team hosted its first co-ed tournament Friday. The community event, open to people of all ages in Boulder City and Henderson, was dubbed “Kings and Queens of the Court.”
For the second straight year, the Sunrise team is the Southern Nevada Flag Football Coaches Association All-Star game champion. It defeated the Sunset team 13-6.
Synergy Physical Therapy’s team, from left, Laura Allen, Mercedes Howard, Emily Richards, Nicole Evans and Korin Cuico, emerged as champion in the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s women’s spring volleyball league, which ended tournament play May 18. The program included round-robin weekly play and a double-elimination tournament. The department will offer additional leagues, with organizational meetings in August.
