Finishing as 3A state champion runners-up, three Boulder City High School baseball players were selected to the All-Southern Nevada team, representing the top players in the state, regardless of classification.

Boulder City High School’s volleyball team hosted its first co-ed tournament Friday. The community event, open to people of all ages in Boulder City and Henderson, was dubbed “Kings and Queens of the Court.”
For the second straight year, the Sunrise team is the Southern Nevada Flag Football Coaches Association All-Star game champion. It defeated the Sunset team 13-6.
Synergy Physical Therapy’s team, from left, Laura Allen, Mercedes Howard, Emily Richards, Nicole Evans and Korin Cuico, emerged as champion in the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s women’s spring volleyball league, which ended tournament play May 18. The program included round-robin weekly play and a double-elimination tournament. The department will offer additional leagues, with organizational meetings in August. Brooks Roe ended his high school career on a high note. Not only did he set a new personal record in hurdles during his last career track meet, but he also was recognized as a Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association Top Ten Student-Athlete of the Year on April 27 during a banquet attended by other honorees and his family.
