Last Thursday, dozens of Boulder City kids participated in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson, which is held worldwide with more than 400,000 participants in 56 countries. Boulder City has participated in this event for several years.

Excelling as a three-sport athlete, Boulder City High School senior Sancha Jenas-Keogh has been named Boulder City Review female athlete of the year.

Called a generational talent by his head coach, Boulder City High School senior boys volleyball star David Zwahlen has been named Boulder City Review male athlete of the year.

Finishing as 3A state champion runners-up, three Boulder City High School baseball players were selected to the All-Southern Nevada team, representing the top players in the state, regardless of classification.

There was a Boulder City invasion July 14-15 at the University of Southern California, where three current swimmers from the four-time defending Division I-A state champion Lady Eagles were competing at the Los Angeles Invite with a trio of Boulder City High School graduates.

Or, for that matter, your fat tires or your horse’s shoes. The entire trail is popular with mountain bikers as well as hikers, as are its lower reaches for equestrians.
