Boulder City High School senior girls volleyball player Maggie Roe was named a first-team all-state selection after guiding the Lady Eagles to their first 3A state championship since 1989.

Senior 126-pound wrestler Garrett Leavitt placed second at the Dixie Desert Storm Invitational in Utah, guiding Boulder City High School to a 12th-place finish out of 32 programs.

With an undefeated 24-0 record, Boulder Dam Credit Union was crowned champion of the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s fall coed softball league.

Roundup: Girls bowling team routs Chaparral

Coming on strong at Sam’s Town on Dec. 14, the Boulder City High School girls bowling team routed Chaparral 1,274-919, bouncing back from a tough loss earlier in the week to Southeast Career Technical Academy. Sophomore Christine Smith led all bowlers with a score of 414, while senior Camille Torgesen shot 345 on the day, with a strong third game of 144.

Wrestlers gain momentum with victories

Placing 15th out of 64 programs at the 54th annual Jimmy Hamada La Costa Classic in La Costa, California, Boulder City High School’s wrestling team continues to gain momentum.
