The Boulder City girls volleyball team will try to get back on a winning track at 6 tonight when the Lady Eagles host Sunrise Mountain in a Sunrise League match.
Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School select an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honoree is freshman Lani Potter, a member of the girls golf team. Potter, the daughter of Rich and Julia Potter, has had the lowest score, earning medalist honors in all five league matches this season. In the Division I-A regional golf tournament Oct. 14, she shot a 4-over-par 76.
School is in session, and now when the kids get home they just want to plop on the couch and enjoy video games or social media.
Boulder City’s Sierra Selinger finished third among 87 runners Oct. 14 at the annual Freshman/Sophomore Cross-Country Invitational.

The bad news is that Boulder City lost 68-21 in its homecoming football game last Friday, a crucial Sunrise League matchup against Chaparral.
It is more than a football contest, and much more than a crucial Sunrise League game. It is the annual homecoming football game against Chaparral at 7 p.m. Friday.
