During Friday’s 27-21 loss to Virgin Valley, Carmell made a key play, stretching the ball into the end zone to make a touchdown in the game’s final minutes and advancing the team to the Southern Region playoffs. He also was instrumental in the team’s 49-48 win against Sunrise Mountain earlier this month.
