Picking up a huge homecoming victory, Boulder City High School football defeated 4A Sierra Vista 24-19 on Sept. 18.
Sweeping their way through league play, Boulder City High School girls golf won their fifth league match of the season at Sienna on Sept. 16.

Each week, the coaches at Boulder City High School select an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honoree is junior Paige Buettner, who plays as linebacker and running back on the flag football team. Buettner recorded 11 tackles and three sacks defensively and scored three touchdowns and an extra point rushing for 45 yards in the Dec. 2 and 3 victories against Silverado and Valley, respectively. She is the daughter of Hunter and Lindsay Buettner.
The quest for a second consecutive state championship got off to a rocky start for the men’s bowling team at Boulder City High School as the Eagles lost seven of nine points against their rivals, the Chaparral Cowboys, Monday at Boulder Bowl.
The Lady Eagles started their flag football season Tuesday where they left off last regular season — winning.
