Eagles lead Sunrise league

Several key moments fueled Boulder City High’s baseball team conference this past week, putting up double-digits runs in three of its four games. More importantly, however, it was the game in which the Eagles didn’t produce double-digit runs, in a 6-0 road victory over Chaparral, that provided the team with its biggest moment of this past week’s four-game series.

Freshman Marleena Mills might have just saved the season for the Lady Eagles’s softball team Saturday coming up with her biggest hit of the season in Boulder City’s 1-0 victory over Pahrump Valley.

Sierra Selinger helps Lady Eagles’ track team earn second at home meet

Boulder City High’s girls and boys track and field programs were in action this past week, with the Lady Eagles taking second place in their Division I-A meet April 6, while the Eagles placed third overall.

Girls track team handily defeats opponents

Boulder City High School’s boys and girls track and field programs performed well on March 30 at home against Laughlin, Pahrump Valley, Western and Word of Life, with the girls finishing in first place, while the boys finished in second place.

Softball team continues to dominate league play

The Lady Eagles softball team from Boulder City High School put together a pair of dominant conference victories this past week against Del Sol and Virgin Valley, before eventually falling to nonconference opponent Sierra Vista in a potential Division I-A state tournament matchup later down the road in May.

Swimmers get first victory of season

Swim season kicked off this past week for both of Boulder City High’s state championship hopeful squads, with a meet against Southeast Career Technical Academy March 17 at Heritage Park.

Athlete of the Week

Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School nominate an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honoree is junior Jordyn Trobiani, a member of the track and field team. A first-year member of the team, Trobiani has shown her skill as a jumper while being a key part of relays, according to coach Steve Roe. He also commended her for her toughness and willingness to try a variety of events. She is the daughter of Dennis and Jennifer Trobiani.
