When the 2023 inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were announced last week, one newer resident of Boulder City had more of an emotional stake in the outcome than most.

1 ROCKIN’ AND ROLLIN’: Folks will be rocking, rolling and strolling as they help raise funds for the Senior Center of Boulder City’s Meals on Wheels program and other activities at the center. Bicentennial Park will be site of the second annual family-friendly event and fundraiser that includes entertainment, food and more. 1 REBEL ROCKETTE: Seattle-based singer songwriter Darci Carlson will perform a free show Friday night at the Boulder Dam Brewing Co., 453 Nevada Way. Carlson also models and acts, but she comes from a background of country music and all-American rock and roll. In addition to her solo act she performs with multiple bands, including The Dolly Rottens and The Billy Cook Band. Now in its 60th year, Art in the Park has become one of Boulder City’s most popular events and shows no signs of slowing down.
It’s one thing to save for a rainy day but when that rainy day turns into a flood, that’s a time for concern.
