Wrapping up their summer workout program over the weekend, Boulder City High School football coach Chris Morelli is optimistic that better days are on the horizon for the program.
Boulder City won’t host basketball event
The Boulder City Little League captured its first Nevada Junior Little League state championship on Saturday, July 22, defeating Northern Nevada challenger Reno American 13-6 at Mountain Ridge Park.
Boulder City’s annual National Night Out softball game will be here on Tuesday, Aug. 1, and everyone is invited to attend.

Several years ago, I was working on a story about the creation of the first schools in Boulder City and in our local library came across the incredible oral histories collected and transcribed by former Boulder City/Hoover Dam Museum Director Dennis McBride.

Get basic facts about the animals and tips to watch them safely from a distance. Though sheep from the River Mountain Herd regularly visit the park, there is no guarantee they will attend the afternoon presentation.

Traveling to Silverado on Friday for the 4A-laden Skyhawk Invitational, several Eagles had standout performances, showing they’re not just limited to the confines of 3A competition.
Advancing to 7-0 in league play, Boulder City High School’s softball program disposed of rival Moapa Valley 11-2 on Tuesday in a matchup of the top two teams in the 3A Sunrise League standings.
