Athlete of the week

Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School nominate an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honoree is junior Nolan DeSantis, who was 13-for-17 in the Eagle’s spring break tournament in Anaheim, Calif., giving him a .765 batting average. The team was 1-4 in the tourney’s five games. He is the son of Susan and William DeSantis.

Morton named to I-A all-state first team

Boulder City girls basketball forward Megan Morton was selected to the Division I-A all-state first team March 20. She also received all-state honors in 2014 when she was second-team.
