Jacorey Dixon won the 300 hurdles in 40.8 seconds and ran on the winning 800 and 1,600 relays to lead Boulder City to the team victory with 182½ points Friday in the Grant Bushman Invitational at Overton.

The Boulder City baseball team moved into first place in the Sunrise League with a 6-0 victory Tuesday over visiting Chaparral. It extended the Eagles’ winning streak to four games.
Boulder City is in first place with an overall 10-3 record and 2-0 in the Sunrise League after a 12-2 victory against visiting Chaparral. Chaparral falls to second place with a 5-6 overall record and 2-1 in league play.
Luke Logan carded an even-par 71 in cold, windy weather at Falcon Ridge March 26 to help Boulder City’s boys golf team win the Sunrise League opening match. The Eagles had a team score of 402 to beat seven teams, while Moapa Valley was second at 476. Marcus Walker added an 80, and Kyler Atkinson shot 81 for the Eagles.
It was a bad feeling before and it was no better this time.

Four former athletes, two coaches and two contributors have been selected for induction as the Class of 2014 into Boulder City High School’s Golden Eagle Hall of Fame in April.
In the end, the ride was worth the result.
This past week, Boulder City was one of two athletic programs in Clark County facing a promotion to the larger Division I at the end of the school year in June. It is a division where most of the Eagles’ athletic teams would struggle to find success against the larger schools.
The Eagles’ season ended Feb. 19 with a 70-60 loss to Cheyenne in the opening round of the Division 1-A Southern Region boys’ basketball playoffs.
