Helping guide Boulder City High School back to the 3A state title, four Eagles volleyball players were named to the 2026 Nevada Preps All-Southern Nevada boys volleyball team, which consists of players from all divisions.

This past month was a busy but exciting month at Garrett Junior High School, and our campus is so full of energy for the holiday season.
After an almost four-year saga, the part of Boulder City code that allowed dog owners to have their dogs off-leash in public as long as they were under verbal control practically (though not officially) goes away as of Dec. 4.
Getting the old Bullock Field Navy Hangar onto the National Registry of Historic Places has been on the radar of the Boulder City Historic Preservation Commission for about a year and a half and earlier this month, the city council agreed.
Earlier this year, the city council voted to reverse a planning commission decision. It was not of note because no one in the ranks of city staff could remember such a reversal ever having happened in the time they worked for the city.
You know that Progressive Insurance commercial that humorously depicts a “Parent-Life Coach” advising young homeowners on how to avoid turning into their parents? When the coach corrects homeowners to not chime in on strangers’ conversations, it made me realize, I’ve totally become my mother. (But I’m OK with it, because my mom was awesome.)
This time of year, schools across the valley begin recruiting—setting up tables at choice fairs, meeting families, and sharing what makes their campus stand out.
Another year is coming to an end… which always makes me reflect on all the things that occurred in the past 12 months.
Many local residents remember in 2019 when the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales made an appearance in Boulder City in the former Vons parking lot.
