The Boulder City High School girls volleyball program (12-13 overall, 4-1 conference) got back to its winning ways Oct. 5, defeating Chaparral soundly with a 3-0 sweep.

Four-year contributors for their respective programs, the dynamic duo has left a legacy at Boulder City that will be tough to be match following their departures. Athletic royalty in their community, Koopman’s and Masterson’s achievements haven’t regulated them to just their rural area, having being highlighted this past week as Nevada All-State selections for their respected sports.

While athletic accomplishments are meant to be duplicated, the work ethic and desire to be a champion cannot. This is where Gomez will and has always separated himself from the pack.

BCHS swim teams capture regional titles

It’s looking like another banner will be hung in the gymnasium for Boulder City High’s boys and girls swim programs this season following first-place team finishes this past week at the Division I-A Southern region meet at UNLV.
