Colorectal cancer is the second-leading cancer killer of men and women in the U.S., following lung cancer. Colorectal cancer is cancer that occurs in the colon or rectum. Sometimes it is called colon cancer, for short. The colon is the large intestine or large bowel. The rectum is the passageway that connects the colon to the anus.
This week I will examine another portion of my series on “If you see something, say something.” I am looking at our ability to be a good witness.

I came across a bit of information that I thought might be further food for thought about first responders and post-traumatic stress disorder. My thoughts are not merely an opinion but from over 16 years as a first responder in dispatch.
“If you see something, say something” is a national campaign that raises public awareness of the indicators of terrorism and terrorism-related crime, as well as the importance of reporting suspicious activity to state and local law enforcement. We can all help keep our communities safe by paying attention to our surroundings and reporting suspicious activity to local law enforcement.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. The term “heart disease” refers to several types of heart conditions. The most common type is coronary artery disease, which can cause heart attack. Other kinds of heart disease may involve the valves in the heart, or the heart may not pump well and cause heart failure.
This week I chose to confront the conflicting opinions regarding the appropriateness of treatment and/or punishment for mentally ill individuals who commit crimes (often serious ones).
This week, on social media, someone commented that burglaries are “rampant” in Boulder City. This week we had a grand total of one burglary reported.
