Freshman Jake Hubel slides in hard for the steal at third. The Boulder City High School junior varsity team won the scrimmage against Del Sol March 8 8-5. The varsity team, which also played Del Sol that day, lost its game 13-6. The school’s teams begins playing in earnest today with the Route 66 Tournament in Needles, Calif., and play their first games at home Tuesday against Pahrump.
