Athlete of the Week

Laura Hubel/Boulder City Review

Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School nominate an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honoree is junior Kyler Atkinson, who is home-schooled but plays varsity golf for Boulder City High. Atkinson been in the No. 1 position for BCHS since the beginning of the season; he was a medalist in the first three league matches and came in third in the fourth. Coach Regina Quintero said he is a hard-working golfer and takes his game seriously, while serving as a role model for his teammates on and off the course. She said she anticipates he will place in the top five in the regional and state competitions. He is the son of Jesse and Heather Atkinson.
