Athlete of the Week

Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School nominate an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week's honoree is senior Makenzy Waldo, a member of the girls varsity flag football team. She has been on the team for four years and has emerged as one of the best corners in the state, according to head coach Chris Morelli. She has a "nose for the ball" and has five interceptions. Offensively, Waldo is one of the team's go-to receivers with 36 receptions for 472 yards and eight touchdowns. She has also caught six 1-point conversions and two 2-point conversions. She is the daughter of Travis and Trudy Waldo.
