Athlete of the Week

Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School nominate an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honoree is senior Sariah Gneiting who placed first in shot put and discus, with throws of 34:2 and 100:1, respectively, during the April 22 meet in Pahrump. The previous week at the Ocean View Small School meet, she set a record in shot put with a throw of 35:11. Additionally, she was praised for having never missed a practice, setting new personal records nearly every week of the season and mentoring younger athletes.
