Help from community makes Angel Tree possible

We wish to extend a huge thank you to all who made the Angel Tree program a success for the 15th year in Boulder City.

The community of Boulder City responded by selecting tags off the Angel Tree and purchasing toys, games, clothes, gift cards and over 40 bicycles. A total of 400 Boulder City residents in need were provided with gifts.

Boulder Dam Credit Union provided the location for the Angel Tree and Boulder City Library was used as the distribution point for the gifts.

Chatty Hatters provided hats and scarves and Laurie Hartig from Spread the Word Nevada provided a book for each child.

Car clubs, Boulder City businesses and professional offices collected toys for the children.

Many rolls of wrapping paper were donated.

The volunteer staff at Emergency Aid, who coordinate the event, provided us with encouragement and support throughout the entire process.

It is a lot of work and takes much coordination and patience, and we are so proud of the generosity of the individuals and organizations taking care of Boulder City residents in need, and are happy we could provide them with a merrier Christmas.

We thank all the residents of Boulder City, all 50-plus volunteers, organizations and businesses, and especially our husbands, Chuck and Jerry, for their support.
