Laura Hubel/Boulder City Review

Each week the coaches at Boulder City High School nominate an athlete to spotlight for contributions made to his or her team. This week’s honoree is senior Kylee Hamel, who plays first base and is the varsity softball teams lead-off hitter. This season, Hamel is maintaining a .400 batting average and .976 percent fielding average, while batting in 25 runs. She is involved in the school’s National Honor Society and will be one of her class’ valedictorians. She is the daughter of Dave and Julie Hamel.
