Superhero Saturday debuts at library

This Saturday, April 28, the community will be invaded by superheros as Boulder City Library hosts its first Superhero Saturday and Comic Book Fair, a free activity for people of all ages.

Earth Day infuses new life into gardens

Years ago, someone gave Boulder City resident Cheryl Waites a key fob that said “Every day is Earth Day.” It’s a motto she has adopted for her life and now she’s on a mission to share her care for the land with her fellow community residents.

Senior Center volunteers honored

Without its volunteers, the Senior Center of Boulder City wouldn’t function, said Executive Director Victoria Mason as she expressed her gratitude for their service during a luncheon in their honor Saturday, April 21.

Guild to host art festival

Boulder City Art Guild will transform Bicentennial Park into an outdoor art gallery Saturday and Sunday when it hosts its 33rd annual Spring ArtFest.

Filters help keep allergy season out of home

Over the Easter weekend I watched Cecil B. DeMille’s classic “The Ten Commandments.” In the dramatic scene when Moses receives the tablets, it reminded me that while Mount Sinai had a burning bush, Boulder City has smoking trees. OK, maybe not actually smoking, but the mulberry trees here sure look like they are when releasing pollen.
