Gentle Muslims serve as reminder against violence

The Charlie Hedbo attack came the week before Martin Luther King Jr. Day and it’s not hard to imagine how Martin Luther King Jr. would have reacted. When incidents of violence happened, he grieved. What is not known to King’s countrymen is that there is an Islamic MLK.

Officers know, care about local citizens

Thanks for all the positive comments and words of encouragement. If you’re confused with some of the calls coming in to us, you’re not the only one. It would just never occur to me to call the police to ask for help to screw in a light bulb (oh yes, it’s true), or to mediate a child issue over spaghetti. We also get calls telling us how we are not doing our job (they got the ticket); and callers want us to get serious with the “real” criminals (you get the ticket).
