Softball league leader handed first losses

The Boulder City Parks and Recreation’s summer men’s softball league had an exciting showdown this past week with first place Time to Mash and Pit Stop going head to head. Pit Stop swept the night to pull into a first-place tie, handing league newcomers Time To Mash its first losses.
Duetto follows closely behind the league leaders, with Papillon on an upswing with its close games and two-game sweep against Credit Union during the week’s competition.
League play continues tonight.
The coed league resumes play Sunday after a week off.
Men’s standings: Time To Mash, 12-2; Pit Stop, 12-2; Duetto, 10-4; Papillon, 5-9; Club Fitness, 2-12; and Credit Union, 1-13
Coed standings: Pitches Be Crazy, 10-0; Jack’s Place, 8-2; Hammer’s Grill, 6-4; Hoover Dam Store, 4-6; Club Fitness, 4-6; Credit Union, 4-6; Bangin’ Pitches, 3-7; and Serenity Salon, 1-9.
