Boulder City Chiropractic came up through the loser’s bracket this past week to become the 2016 champions in the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s men’s basketball tournament.
In a double-header March 1, they defeated the Ragin’ Roadrunners 74-57 and then immediately faced the undefeated Credit Union. They won the game 49-43, which forced another game between the two teams because of the double elimination format.
With one loss apiece, Boulder City Chiropractic faced the Credit Union in a nail-biter game where Boulder City Chiropractic was ultimately victorious, according to Kelly Lehr, sports coordinator for the department. The final score was 48-45.
High scorers for the week were Sheldon Hutchins from the Ragin’ Roadrunners with 20 points, Shane Levin from the Credit Union with 20 points, Jake Hasselburg from Boulder City Chiropractic with 19 points, and Tyler Farias from Boulder City Chiropractic with 16 points.
