From early morning to well after sunset, Boulder City residents and visitors celebrated Independence Day on Monday during the 68th annual Damboree. The festivities included a pancake breakfast, parade, games and contests, and entertainment before being capped off by fireworks.

The seventh annual Heart of the Community Gala raised funds for Boulder City Hospital while honoring longtime volunteers and residents John and Christine Milburn. The evening’s festivities included silent and live auctions, the tribute to the Milburns, as well as a special tribute to the late Dr. Michael Ravitch, a surgeon and supporter of the hospital who died in January.
