February 26, 2014 - 2:05 pm
The double-elimination postseason tournament in the Boulder City Parks & Recreation Men’s Basketball League begins today with three games at the recreation center.
The game times are 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. The pairings were not known at press time, as the regular season concluded Tuesday night.
On Feb. 20, Woodbury Law battled back from 16 points down — 12 points with less than 2:30 to play — to stun gRIM reap 62-61 when Brigham Church sank a 3-pointer as time expired.
First-place Credit Union also staged a furious second-half comeback against El Rancho but fell short 59-55 for only its second loss of the season. Flight S2S had two blowout wins to knot the standings in a three-way tie for second place with El Rancho and Woodbury Law.
By virtue of its first-place regular season finish, Credit Union will have the sole first-round bye.
