Boulder City’s version of Oktoberfest returns Saturday with the Sunrise Rotary’s annual Wurstfest, and with it also comes the return of grilled bratwursts.

Growing up in Pioche, Nevada, hearing stories about miners was commonplace for Karen Wilkes. After all, her grandfather had been a miner and she was childhood friends with the children of miners.
The Boulder City Elks Lodge continued its long-standing tradition of giving dictionaries to third-grade students in Boulder City late last week when it visited King Elementary School.
It has been 82 years since Hoover Dam was dedicated on Sept. 30, 1935. It took a whole town of hard-working people to complete the dam, and many of those families have stayed in the area as business owners.

Outstanding achievements by local businesses and volunteers were recognized and new officers were installed when the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce held its annual installation and awards event Friday in the pavilion at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
The Boulder City Pool was full of heroes, villains and movie characters for its 17th annual cardboard boat race on July 19.
