Aug. 23, 1:21 p.m.

A woman called and complained to officers that she had received a call from the IRS and that they were threatening to come for her. Officers advised her it was a scam.

Aug. 23, 1:50 p.m.

A man called officers to report that there was a man that he thought may be intoxicated sleeping in his front yard with a large suitcase. Upon their arrival, officers warned the man who had been sleeping that camping was not allowed.

Aug. 23, 2:59 p.m.

A woman reported to officers that she believed her ex-husband had come to her apartment and taken a cat that he had abandoned there in April.

Aug. 24, 10:09 a.m.

A man called officers to complain that there was a pit bull on his front lawn and he wanted it removed from his yard; the animal was taken to the shelter.

Aug. 24, 11:09 a.m.

Officers responded to a suicide attempt when a 35-year-old female attempted to light herself on fire. Her mother told officers that the woman’s state of mind had not been right for days; officers took the woman to the hospital.

Aug. 24, 2:37 p.m.

Police stopped a driver in front of the emergency room after witnessing him drive 20 miles below the speed limit and run over a curb on his way into the hospital. The man told the officers he was experiencing abdominal pain and was on the verge of passing out; the man was admitted to the ER by hospital staff and his car was left in the parking lot.

Aug. 25, 12:23 a.m.

Officers received multiple calls complaining that a woman in the hotel was screaming and throwing things. Although she was taken in to custody, she was brought to the hospital because of concerns that her hand may have been broken.

Aug. 25, 9:23 a.m.

A man called officers to complain that his neighbor paints in his yard, which pollutes the caller’s yard, and that the smell goes into his house. He stated that he needed officers help because he could not go talk to his neighbor himself, as when he last tried to the neighbor had threaten him with a baseball bat.

Aug. 26, 8:10 a.m.

A man called officers regarding a welfare issue but would only speak to them in person. When officers arrived he told them he thought it was odd that there was a black man staying with his white neighbor. The caller reminded officers multiple times that the man was black and the he didn’t think it was right that the man was there in the mobile park.

Boulder City High School was placed on a brief lockdown this morning after Boulder City Police dispatch received a “spoofed” all at 9:09 a.m. from someone claiming to be a teacher supposedly hiding from a gunman in the school, according to a city official.
