Aug. 9, 4:49 a.m.

A caller complained about loud yelling that could be heard coming from the cemetery. Upon their arrival, officers stopped a man driving out of the cemetery, who admitted that while he was there he felt moved and start shouting. The officers took the man’s driver’s license and returned it to the department of motor vehicles.

Aug. 9, 9:44 a.m.

A man followed up on a call from the previous week to complain that people keep cutting or breaking down the fence of the droneport they could ride dirt bikes on the old motocross track.

Aug. 9, 3:45 p.m.

A man contacted officers after receiving a call from an 11-year-old boy in neighboring apartment who said that his mother had been gone for two days. After looking into the incident, Child Protective Services determined it had a case open against the mother and went to the building to pick up the child; however, before they arrived, the mother had returned and fled with the child.

Aug. 9, 9:23 p.m.

A caller complained after witnessing a group of juveniles playing in the sewer and throwing objects at passing vehicles.

Aug. 10, 5:01 a.m.

A man called to report that the night before he had seen two juveniles jump off the roof of the Mormon church and leave in a silver Honda.

Aug. 10, 11:18 a.m.

A caller reported witnessing a red sedan racing on Marina Drive that proceeded to chase a herd of sheep into Marina Cove.

Aug. 11, 12:52 p.m.

Multiple callers complained about a suspicious pickup truck driving slowly through the neighborhood. Officer determined the driver was delivering phone books.

Aug. 11, 9:10 p.m.

Multiple callers reported hearing gunshots in an alley near New Mexico Street. Upon officers’ arrival at the scene they spoke to an eyewitness, who claimed to see people shooting off fireworks.

Aug. 13, 11:36 a.m.

A caller reported that a group of teenagers were in the area casing cars for future burglaries. The caller believed that Lend-A-Hand was assisting in patrolling the neighborhood.

Aug. 14, 11:54 p.m.

A man appeared in the police station to speak to officers about his concerns regarding a man who had befriended his adult son. He suspected that the subject was a con man.

Aug. 14, 4:13 p.m.

A motorist called police to report concerns regarding a slender woman seen walking across four lanes of traffic carrying an infant and a dog.

Aug. 14, 7:26 p.m.

A gas station employee called to report that an illegal card reader was found on a pump.

Aug. 14, 7:28 p.m.

A caller reported that a male customer with long blond hair was kicked out of the establishment, then proceeded to strike another customer and threaten someone else with his skateboard.

Aug. 14, 8:44 p.m.

A caller reported that a man with long hair and a skateboard was walking up Utah Street screaming at people.

Aug. 15, 8:40 a.m.

There was a call for a hazardous material responseafter the construction crew at Boulder City High School hit a gas line. There was a natural gas leak, but no injuries. Southwest Gas was called and responded to the incident.

Aug. 15 8:52 a.m.

A caller complained to an officer that it appeared the dumpster in front of the business appeared to have been hit by a car. There was broken glass all around the area and the dumpster had been moved away from its usual spot.
