A man appeared at the police station claiming that he had a bump on his head from his wife hitting him with a wooden dowel before she took his truck and left. He declined to press charges and said he just wanted his truck back. According to police, the truck was registered to both and upon being contacted by officers, the wife claimed that man was high and had burnt her clothes before she had left, and that if he was injured he must have done it to himself.
July 26, 11:04 a.m.
A man stopped in the lobby at the police station to complain that he was being harassed as he had allegedly received, for the second time, a letter asking him to leave and saying unflattering things.
July 27, 10:24 a.m.
A caller complained about a woman urinating in public behind a building. Upon the arrival of officers, witnesses admitted they did not observe any nakedness or urinating on that day, but that they had seen the woman do so before.
July 28, 5:27 p.m.
A man called to report his vehicle as stolen, as his wife had not returned the car for five days.
July 29, 12:49 p.m.
First responders provided a woman with courtesy transportation to the hospital for mental evaluation after she called a friend reporting suicidal tendencies and said she would hang herself in her garage.
July 29, 1:17 p.m.
Officer told a woman to contact elder services after she came into the station to complain that someone took her mother out drinking, which worried her because the older woman falls and has dementia.
July 30, 9:29 p.m.
A caller complained that there was political verbiage written in chalk on the roadway on Mountain Avenue. Upon arrival, officers determined that the writing was not malicious and should disappear as cars drive over it.
July 31, 11:48 a.m.
A caller complained to officers that a car parked across from a diner had a dog locked inside in a cage, without air conditioning. The owners of the car were found to be eating and told the officer they could see the dog from their table, had parked in the shade and given the dog water before entering the restaurant.
Aug. 1, 12:10 a.m.
A man called officers because he and his girlfriend had allowed a woman suffering from domestic problems with her husband to move in with them. The man was worried the husband might cause problems because he had been coming around the area.
