A man called the Boulder City Police Department to report that his female friend had been sexually assaulted, according to what she told him. When police arrived, the woman was uncooperative, saying she wasn’t assaulted and the man who called police was a jealous ex-boyfriend. Officers confronted the man who said that’s exactly what she told him and he’s unsure why she should would lie to police. The investigation was halted.
Nov. 11, 2015, 6:37 p.m.
A man called officers when he went to visit his son and noticed his 18-month-old grandson sitting outside by himself. The man said he took the child home for safety, but returned to his son’s house and wanted an officer on site. The man said his son and girlfriend were inside sleeping with the door shut. An investigation was opened.
Nov. 12, 2015, 3:15 a.m.
Officers were called for a suspicious car that was parked on the side of the road. The caller said several juveniles were in the vehicle and were making a lot of noise. When police arrived, one juvenile was found very drunk and there was vomit all over the back seat. All juveniles were subsequently returned to their parents and/or guardians.
Nov. 12, 2015, 5:37 p.m.
Boulder City police were called when a drunk patron was causing a distraction. The caller said the man was in an argument with a woman and both went outside. When he saw police were called, the man began to flee. Cops later detained the individual behind Dairy Queen.
Nov. 13, 2015, 9:44 p.m.
A 15-year old juvenile ran away from home, her mother told police. The mother told officers about her daughter’s boyfriend, and that she may be heading that way. Officers found the couple at the boyfriend’s house and the juvenile was returned home.
Nov. 14, 2015, 6:35 p.m.
Police were called when someone saw a silver car pulled over on the side of the road with what appeared to be an unconscious woman hanging out of the trunk. The caller said he saw a male subject standing over the open trunk where the woman’s body was. Officers arrived to find it was a group of photography students from UNLV working on a project in which they had to stage a murder scene.
Nov. 15, 2015, 5:36 a.m.
Police were called when a person saw a man slumped over in the driver’s seat of his running vehicle. The caller told officers the man wasn’t moving. Cops arrived to find the man had just fallen asleep and was going to walk his dog.
