When I became editor of the Boulder City Review, one of my goals was to make the newspaper a go-to place for news and information about events throughout Boulder City. Lake’s low levels could trigger federal shortage

Lake Mead is expected to shrink low enough by January 2017 to trigger the first federal shortage declaration on the Colorado River, according to a bleak new projection from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.

Volleyball Champions

Synergy Physical Therapy’s team, from left, Laura Allen, Mercedes Howard, Emily Richards, Nicole Evans and Korin Cuico, emerged as champion in the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s women’s spring volleyball league, which ended tournament play May 18. The program included round-robin weekly play and a double-elimination tournament. The department will offer additional leagues, with organizational meetings in August.
