June 7, 5:08 a.m.

A caller reported to officers that someone outside the complainant’s home was using heavy construction equipment, which upon the arrival of officers, was determined to be a cement mixer.

June 7, 10:14 a.m.

A woman complained that she was receiving harassing phone calls from unknown persons calling from a blocked number. Officers informed the woman that there was just not enough information for a temporary protection order and advised her to consider changing her phone number.

June 8, 4:20 a.m.

The fire department responded to calls reporting a semitruck that was on fire near Lake Mohave, fully engulfed in flames.

June 8, 9:10 a.m.

A woman came into the police station in search of advice regarding a man she had hired to help her move, who was now refusing to return the moving truck.

June 9, 8:22 a.m.

Animal control responded to an injured falcon found in a resident’s backyard and delivered the bird to Black Mountain Animal Hospital.

June 10, 6:04 p.m.

Officers received reports of a reckless driver circling the roundabouts near the splash pad in Veterans’ Memorial Park at high speeds.

June 10, 7:06 p.m.

Animal control responded to a caller reporting that a gate at a home was knocked down and that a large Doberman was on the porch and was charging anyone that walked by. Upon arrival, officers determined the gate was intact but advised the owner to increase the gate’s security.

June 10, 9:24 p.m.

Officers received a complaint that the caller’s car was missing and suspected stolen from the handicapped spot where it had been parked in front of a restaurant. After finding no record of the car being towed, the car was found parked in front of a different bar around the block.

June 11, 2:04 p.m.

Officers received reports from a group that was out on the south end of the dry lake bed working on a photo shoot that a woman was causing a disturbance, acting violently and had occupied the complainant’s truck.

June 11, 9:19 p.m.

A caller complained to officers that two unknown subjects, one male and one female, had entered the backyard of the home across the street through a gate, before moving on to another empty residence next door. Upon arrival, officers determined the two were carrying a black light and Raid, hunting scorpions.

June 12, 3:02 p.m.

A man reported that his surveillance camera recorded a woman knocking on his front door when no one was at home, and that when no one answered, she approached his garage, folded up a pair of lawn chairs and stole them.

June 12, 6:13 p.m.

Officers received complaints about a suspicious man with a buzz cut and a heavy coat loitering around the parking lot despite the extreme heat.

June 13, 9 p.m.

Officers received a call reporting that several men with flashlights were hauling property out of a vacant trailer and into a pickup. The truck was no longer at the premises when officers arrived, but when they located the vehicle, it was determined the men were helping the former occupant of the trailer move out her belongings.
