Dillinger’s annual Block Party Saturday

The Dillinger’s fourth annual Block Party will take over a portion of Arizona Street on Saturday as both locals and outsiders revel in the live music, food and games.

The event, which will run from the Antique Market to Hotel Plaza Drive, will feature eight bands throughout the evening. Local vendors also will be participate, and guests can look forward to a hot dog eating contest, a pull-up competition, a car show and a beer pong tournament.

“It’s just a great community event,” entertainment coordinator Tsvetelina Stefanova said. “It’s a reason for people from (Las) Vegas to come out and experience great live music in downtown Boulder City.”

Stefanova said the bands will provide an assortment of music to cater to different audiences. Seven of the eight bands are either from Las Vegas or Boulder City, she said.

“I’d say it’s pretty spread out. There are a variety of genres represented,” she said.

The Block Party runs from 4-11 p.m. and is free to the public.
