Tribute to Inspirational Teacher

Leslie Ringen's classroom podium was part of a Nov. 25 memorial for the Boulder City High School teacher who died Nov. 21. Ringen would let her students sign the podium as a sendoff at the end of every school year, Principal Amy Wagner said. The memorial was attended by 500-600 people who came to pay homage to the school's two-time Most Inspirational Teacher Award winner, according to Wagner. "She was a remarkable woman," Wagner said. "It wasn't about all that she taught. It was all those life lessons that she instilled within us, and those lessons she told her students. We said goodbye to a legend."
