Undefeated Volleygirls earn tourney bye

The adult women’s volleyball league play has left the Volleygirls undefeated for a bye in the first round of the tournament that begins Monday, said Kelly Lehr, sports coordinator for the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department.

The double-elimination tournament will be played at 6:30 p.m. Mondays Nov. 7, 14 and 21 in the Recreation Center’s new gymnasium.

League standings: Volleygirls, 12-0; Synergy, 10-2; Heavy Hitters, 8-4; Bump, Set, Net, 5-7; Amazons, 3-9; Girls Night Out, 2-10; Free Agents, 2-10.

Pit Stop dominates men’s softball league

Pit Stop has been dominating play at Hemenway Valley Park’s ball field on Thursday nights, according to Lehr. They finished league play 11-1. No Glove No Love will play The Credit Union in a “play for position” game at 7 p.m. tonight. Likewise, Time to Mash will play Duetto and Ralph’s Tires will take on Papillon at 6 p.m. to find out where they fall on the double elimination bracket.

The tournament begins Nov. 10 and will crown the fall league winner Nov. 17.

League standings: Pit Stop, 11-1; No Glove No Love, 9-3; The Credit Union, 8-4; Time to Mash, 7-5; Duetto, 4-8; Ralph’s Tires, 3-9; Papillon, 0-12.

Boulder Bowl atop coed softball league

The coed softball league will finish up round robin play Sunday. Currently, Boulder Bowl is leading the standings with T.Q. Pallets and The Henderson Villains close behind. Boulder Dam Credit Union has moved up three spots with Boulder Dam Brewing Co. one game behind. B.C. Real Estate is edging up the charts with Jack’s Place and Serenity Salon fighting for a good tournament position.

League play ends Sunday with games being played at 5, 6, 7 and 8 p.m. at the ball fields at Hemenway Valley Park.
