Election season began in earnest Monday when the filing period for candidates opened.
Call it the perfect storm. This weekend’s calendar is filled with events and holidays that are sure to create matrimonial bliss for many.
I love this time of year. There’s a nip in the air. The leaves on trees glow in shades of red, yellow and orange. Families and friends gather for festive meals. And Hallmark airs countless Christmas movies.
Today we are introducing what we hope will become a regular feature in the Boulder City Review.

Words, whether written or spoken, are powerful. They are one of the most effective tools of communication.
History tells us that the Korean War officially came to an end July 27, 1953, when the United States, China, North Korea and South Korea agreed to an armistice.
Utopia. Shangri-La. Paradise.
Tomorrow marks the start of my fourth year as editor of the Boulder City Review. My how time flies.
Every time I look out into my backyard I am reminded about the beauty and promises of hope that spring brings.
