Hours of operation: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday to Friday at 813 Arizona St., 702-293-3320.

Free computers/Internet to members: 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

Morning coffee, snacks, newspapers: 8-10 a.m.

Library/gift shop: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Lunch hour: 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Suggested donation $2 (60 and older), $3 fee (59 or younger).

Meals-on-Wheels are delivered Monday through Friday to the homebound*

Thursday: Turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry salad, pumpkin dessert

Friday: Stuffed cabbage, carrots, salad, fruit

Monday: Tuna noodle casserole, salad bar, fruit

Tuesday: Salisbury steak, twice-baked potatoes, peas, salad bar, fruit

Wednesday: Chili with beans, cornbread, salad, fruit

Meal passes are available for your convenience at the receptionist’s desk.

City’s pet licensing proposal still in limbo

As the proposal to allow for a license for pet breeding, as well as the keeping of more animals than the three currently allowed by city code that came within inches of becoming law in March of this year, appears to be in some kind of limbo. After it was tabled, and has not yet been rescheduled to come back before the city council, a related case recently came before the municipal court.
