For more than a decade, the Boulder City Art Guild has welcomed the cold weather with its annual Winter ArtFest, but this year the festivities will expand out of the Boulder City Parks and Recreation Department’s gym all the way to Bicentennial Park with the addition of the Winter Arts Spectacular, a new event benefiting The Homestead at Boulder City.
A former Boulder City High School student is one step closer to becoming a National Merit Scholar.
Boulder City is tied closely to Southern Nevada’s veterans, with the state’s only veterans home and the area’s only veterans’ cemetery. On Veterans Day there will be several events held to honor those important members of the community.

1: MARIO AT THE RAILROAD PASS CASINO: Singer-comedian Mario will perform free of charge from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Railroad Pass Casino, 2800 S. Boulder Highway. The Los Angeles native recently moved to Southern Nevada from the Midwest and has found the perfect showcase for his unique comedy takes and his vocal performances of American standards, from artists including Dean Martin and Michael Buble as well as classic country hits.
