RTC, local partners to host work expo Wednesday

A work expo for those seeking jobs in the architecture, engineering or construction industries will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Dallas Ballroom at the Texas Station hotel and casino, 2101 Texas Star Lane, North Las Vegas.

The expo is being hosted by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, in partnership with the Nevada Economic Development Coalition, American Council of Engineering Companies, Associated General Contractors of Las Vegas, Workforce Connections and the Nevada Department of Transportation.

The event is free to attend and will provide job-seekers and contractors with information on positions, training and subcontracting opportunities.

According to an RTC spokesperson, the architecture, engineering and construction industries are rebounding in Southern Nevada because of the launch of several roadway projects funded by Fuel Revenue Indexing and other various public works projects underway.

The Mega Work Expo will enable those in the job market, as well as local businesses, to get more information on relevant opportunities in the multiple industries.
