Power to go out Friday morning in parts of city

There will be a planned power outage starting at 5 a.m. Friday morning as the city’s electrical system is returned to its normal configuration, according to the city manager’s office.

The outage is expected to last about 15-20 minutes and will affect:

Avenues B, C, D, F, G, H and I;

Sections of Georgia Avenue, Hotel Plaza and New Mexico Street;

All of Wyoming Street on the west side;

Several area businesses; they have been notified in advance.
